An Orange County student was killed after a minor school altercation turned into a violent shooting.
Deputies responded to an incident in Orlando near the South Orlando YMCA and nearby Oak Ridge High School on Thursday afternoon.
The Orange County Sheriff's Office confirmed that 16-year-old Pinien Dalmacy died after being shot twice by a 15-year-old at Vogt-Meloon Park.
They were both sophomores, according to OCSO.
The incident began on the school campus after the suspect bumped into Dalmacy, Sheriff John Mina said.
The Dalmacy asked the suspect to apologize, but the suspect refused. Mina said they both decided to meet up at the Vogt-Meloon Park.
