A Detroit man who was stabbed in the face with a fork during a series of crimes in Macomb County in February will be sentenced Dec. 3 after pleading guilty in the county's circuit court.

Eddie Leon Gaines, 61, pleaded guilty Oct. 8 to carjacking, unlawful imprisonment and unarmed robbery, according to online court records.

His attorney, Noel Erinjeri, an assistant county public defender, had no comment on Oct. 9. Gaines was being held in the county jail, according to online jail records.
