PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Arizona’s gubernatorial race is taking shape as Gov. Katie Hobbs announced earlier this week she’ll be running for re-election. However, the race could become interesting with a crowded Republican primary, as three politicians are vying to be the GOP candidate.

The Republican candidates include businesswoman Karrin Taylor Robson, Congressman David Schweikert and Congressman Andy Biggs. Robson and Biggs were endorsed by President Donald Trump to unseat Gov. Hobbs.

Biggs joined Good Morning Arizona on Thursday morning to speak about the gubernatorial race and the government shutdown. Biggs believes the shutdown will be resolved early next week.
