FRANKFORT, Ky. (KFVS) - Local law enforcement and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s Office of Highway Safety are teaming up to take part in “Operation Crash Reduction” on October 10-13, in an effort to reduce crashes and traffic deaths.
The concentrated enforcement includes a high-visibility enforcement campaign. Kentucky joins several other northeastern states in the effort.
“Too many lives are lost each year on our roadways because of preventable crashes,” Kentucky State Police Major Eric Walker said. ”By joining Operation Crash Reduction, the Kentucky State Police strengthens our commitment to saving lives through education and enforcement. Even the smallest decisions, like buckling up or slowing down, can make the biggest difference.”
