HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. (WNCN) – A European medical technology company plans to build its first-ever North American plant in Wake County, bringing dozens of jobs to the Triangle, officials said on Thursday.

Switzerland-based Ypsomed, a leading developer and manufacturer of injection systems for the self-administration of liquid medicine, aims to invest $195.4 million in a new manufacturing facility in Holly Springs, the company announced.

The plant will initially create 62 new jobs for the town, but looks to move forward with the intention to "grow significantly” in the upcoming years, according to Wake County officials and company leaders.
