PARMA HEIGHTS, Ohio —

Officers with a northern Ohio police department were given a strange request on Wednesday morning: chase down a giant inflatable pumpkin that was on the loose.

The Parma Heights Police Department released body camera video showing officers responding to the “pumpkin pursuit,” just after midnight on Oct. 8. Advertisement

The pumpkin was in front of a house as a Halloween decoration but somehow broke loose and was rolling through town.

Police said officers were able to get control of the pumpkin and return it to its owner.

“Just another example of our officers going above and beyond, even for seasonal décor,” the department said in a Facebook post. This content is imported from Facebook. You may be able to find the same content in another format, or you may be abl
