(NEXSTAR) – An NBA fan has filed a lawsuit against LeBron James after the Los Angeles Lakers star teased fans with a “second decision” this week.
James, on Monday, had shared a social media post referencing an upcoming “decision” — a clear nod to the 2010 ESPN TV special in which he announced he would be leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers to play for the Miami Heat. In an accompanying video, James was seen sitting in a chair on a basketball court, much like he had in the 2010 special. He was also sporting a similar shirt.
Fans had speculated that James’ “second decision” might concern his retirement from the NBA after his upcoming 23rd season in the league. As a result, ticket prices for next season’s Lakers games spiked by several hundred dollars, ESPN reported, citing data from Vivid Seat
