On the one hand, light jogging by Bo Bichette on the very field that he sustained a knee injury more than a month ago is an encouraging sign.

On the other, it’s clear the Blue Jays all-star shortstop has a ways to go to be a part of his team’s magical October run.

That said, the deeper the Jays go, the better the chances are for the team’s best hitter to rejoin the lineup.

Speaking to reporters in the Jays jubilant clubhouse following Wednesday’s ALDS clinching win in the Bronx, Bichette says that he has made “huge progress” in recent days.

“I have a positive mindset for sure,” Bichette told reporters. “I just have to make sure I can run the bases.”
