SIKESTON, Mo. (KFVS) - The city of Sikeston has announced plans for a public candlelight vigil to honor Officer Henry Franklin on Friday, October 10.

The service will take place at 7 p.m. outside the Sikeston Department of Public Safety building.

Those who wish to attend can gather around Officer Franklin’s police cruiser on display in front of the building at 201 S. Kingshighway.

Mourners are asked to bring a lawn chair and a candle or glow stick.

Franklin was killed in an incident in Mississippi County on Monday .
