The One Chicago Podcast is officially the number 1 podcast in film and tv, rightfully so. This week’s guest was Allen Macdonald - the showrunner for Chicago Med.

This was such an interesting episode; it is very cool to hear from someone who isn’t an actor. It’s not every day you get to see how a showrunner works and how they got into their role. I am someone who has loved medical dramas since I was young, and it was awesome to see that Allen Macdonald was the same. St. Elsewhere is such a classic tv show and so is ER.

Allen MacDonald tells an incredibly harrowing story about a 14-year-old boy he witnessed die on the table after being shot accidentally. It is so clear that Allen cares so much about how good Chicago Med is and how true to life it really is.
