In anticipation of rainstorms coming into the area for the weekend, the Water Lights at Night event has been rescheduled to Sunday from from 5-8 p.m. at the Butterfly Pond in Las Colonias Park

The event was originally set for Saturday.

Admission is free, and attendees can pre-purchase lantern kits for $8 or a pack of six for $42 in advance of the event. Kits will be available for pick-up on the evening of the event. Lanterns purchased on the night of the event are $10. Those who have already purchased lantern kits can use them on the rescheduled date.

Only lanterns purchased through Grand Junction Parks and Recreation are allowed. Lantern kits include an LED tea light and a marker for personalizing. Attendees are encouraged to bring additional materials to decorate their lanterns.
