After being on the run for weeks following a fatal crash near Picton, police have arrested a driver who allegedly bolted from the scene.

A motorcycle rider in his 60s was killed when his bike collided with a car on West Parade, near Bargo River Road, in Couridjah on September 25.

This is about 11 kilometres south of Picton.

Emergency services were called to the scene about 6.10am and found the driver of the car had fled on foot prior to their arrival.
