Christopher Briney is heading to Hacks !

The Summer I Turned Pretty star has officially joined the season five cast of the HBO Max series, which is currently in production.

Briney hails from the beloved Prime Video series, where he portrays Conrad Fisher. While TSITP recently wrapped its series finale , he will reprise the role in the forthcoming movie circling the franchise.

Going into its fifth season, Hacks is fresh off two Emmy wins at the 2025 awards ceremony, where Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder walked away with the titles of best comedy actress and supporting actress, respectively. Smart and Eindinder return for season five alongside Paul W. Downs, Megan Stalter , Carl Clemons-Hopkins, Mark Indelicato and Rose Abdoo.
