ULLIN, Ill. (WSIL) -- Nearly 500 students from 12 area high schools visited Shawnee Community College on October 9 for the annual SCC Day. This event allowed juniors and seniors to explore their academic and career possibilities at the college.
SCC Day provided students with hands-on experiences, showcasing the college’s diverse academic programs and career-training opportunities. Jeff McGoy, Vice President of Shawnee Community College, emphasized the impact of the event.
“This event gives high school students a chance to picture themselves as part of the Saints Family,” McGoy said. “They can meet instructors, discover programs that match their interests, and experience firsthand what makes Shawnee such a supportive and opportunity-rich environment.”
