ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The Rolling Rams are a competitive wheelchair basketball team made up of kids ages 6 to 18.
The team is the only youth wheelchair basketball team within 250 miles of St. Louis, serving children with lower limb disabilities who want to play the sport.
“If a kid who has lower limb disability that keeps him from playing traditional basketball wants to play basketball, this is the only game in town,” said Rob Nemeer, whose son Liam plays on the team.
For Liam, the team provides more than just basketball.
“One thing I love about wheelchair basketball is teammates, being able to travel with everybody, and being able to play other teams,” he said.
