BOISE, Idaho — The world-famous Banana Ball is coming to Boise.

The announcement was made on Thursday afternoon on ESPN 2 during what was called the "Banana Ball City Selection Show."

The Texas Tailgaters will face off against the Party Animals July 31 & August 1 at Albertsons Stadium.

Both teams play a game called "Banana Ball," a fast and fun variation of baseball with only 11 rules and a two-hour time limit. During the game, players perform choreographed dances and interact with fans in the stands. The team also boasts the world's tallest hitter and pitcher, who stands 10 feet tall.

New in 2026, the " Banana Ball Championship League ," where two additional teams will join the Bananas, the Party Animals, the Firefighters, and the Tailgaters. Teams will play a 60-game season
