NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — On Wednesday, we heard from the Democrat running to replace Congressman Mark Green.

Republican Matt Van Epps faces Democrat and State Rep. Aftyn Behn in a special election this December.

The winner will represent the 7th Congressional District. It runs from Clarksville through parts of Nashville to the Alabama line.

After securing the GOP nomination for Tennessee's 7th Congressional District, Republican Matt Van Epps is preparing for the next election on Dec. 2.

"We had real momentum and energy across the district," Van Epps expressed. "We visited all 14 counties."

Van Epps is a military veteran and former state official endorsed by President Donald Trump.
