MINOT, ND (KXNET) — One zoo in Minot is making sure everyone can get involved. The Roosevelt Park Zoo now offers a new Sensory Explorer Kit.

This kit is designed for visitors with visual and hearing impairments. It includes things like lion's fur, a red panda skull, a turtle shell, feathers, and snakeskin.

It also includes a sheet with QR codes that play animal sounds, allowing visitors to experience everything the zoo has to offer.

Travis Heil, an educator at the zoo, said this idea came after a fall field trip class called and asked if they had anything a visually impaired student could use on the trip.
