ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - When a tornado struck one side of Arnold on March 14th , the other side of the city was pummeled by hail.

“My roof needed to be replaced as well as siding,” said homeowner Matthew Chrum.

Chrum’s roof has been replaced but even before his siding is repaired he got a surprise, a notification from State Farm that his homeowners insurance policy was being cancelled.

“It’s very frustrating, somewhat unexpected. Especially if you’re paying your bills on time and no late fees, no issues,” he said.

The cancellation might be because Chrum filed a similar claim in 2022 after a hailstorm.
