Andrew Garfield is never going to escape being asked about Spider-Man, especially since his repeated denials about appearing in No Way Home culminated in… one of the most delightfully surprising superhero team-ups ever. But he is seemingly growing weary of follow-up questions pressing him on his participation (or not) in 2026’s Avengers: Doomsday .

In a new video interview with GQ that draws on fan questions, Garfield read a question from X/Twitter wondering if he and Tobey Maguire would appear as their alt-universe Spider-Men in Doomsday .

The answer was blunt: “No, unequivocally fucking no.” (There was extra emphasis on the swear word.)
