ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WCSC) - A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for two shootings on campus on Saturday.
South Carolina State University President Alexander Conyers announced the reward on Thursday, according to a press release.
One shooting in the area of Hugine Suites killed Jaliyah Butler, 19, of Saluda, who was visiting friends at the university during the annual Homecoming celebration. A second shooting near Poplar Hall critically injured a man.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation Columbia announced a digital media tipline as law enforcement is seeking multimedia of the two shootings from the public.
