NEW YORK (PIX11) -- Residents in Brooklyn and Queens are encouraged to be on alert this weekend, as the National Weather Service predicts high winds with gusts up to 60 miles per hour.
The High Wind Watch will be in effect from noon on Sunday to 6 a.m. on Monday.
Residents are encouraged to bring items, including lawn furniture and potted plants, indoors. Winds could reach 25 to 35 miles per hour, potentially resulting in minor coastal flooding.
A hazardous weather outlook was also issued ahead of the coastal storm, according to the NWS. The coastal storm is likely to produce tidal flooding along the Hudson River from Sunday into Monday, forecasters said.
