The Abbotsford Police Department says four youths have been charged in connection with an assault at the city’s Mill Lake Park.

Shortly before 3 p.m. on Oct. 3, officers were called out to the area after a report of an incident involving weapons.

“Upon arrival, officers confirmed that a youth had sustained minor injuries after being shot with a BB gun during a disturbance involving several individuals,” AbbyPD said.

Officers identified four youths responsible for the assault and seized a Glock-style BB gun and several knives.

The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The four youths have been arrested and face charges that include assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and breach of a release order.
