OMAHA, Neb. —
The owner of an Omaha food truck has been charged with encouraging or inducing illegal entry for allegedly recruiting people from Mexico and paying for them to be smuggled into the United States.
"Interviews of former employees, record checks, and source information indicate that the Garcias have facilitated the smuggling of illegal aliens, primarily from Mexico, for the purpose of employment at Dos de Oros; that the Garcias also employ workers that are already in the U.S. Illegally to work at Dos de Oros; and that the Garcias have been involved in and facilitated the smuggling of illegal aliens from Mexico into the U.S. for approximately 25 years," the affidavit said.
