MUSCODA, Wis. (WKOW) -- Riverdale School District recently earned a top award for agricultural education in Wisconsin. The honor spotlights a small-town program in Muscoda that thinks big.
From running the school's farm to managing live animal labs, students are gaining real-world skills in and out of the classroom. While it is a community effort, the driving force behind the program is Kally Koch, Riverdale's ag educator.
"I think a good teacher is passionate about what they do, and I am passionate about every corner of agricultural education," says Koch. "That's why I became an ag teacher to begin with, because I couldn't decide on just one thing that interests me."
