SPARTANBURG, S.C. —

A national program to give teenagers real, hands-on experience behind the wheel is headed to the Upstate later this month, in an effort to ensure teens are ready with knowledge of how to drive and make smart decisions behind the wheel.

According to B.R.A.K.E.S., "Looking to save lives and make South Carolina roadways safer, the free lifesaving national proactive teen driver training program B.R.A.K.E.S. (Be Responsible and Keep Everyone Safe) will make its first-ever appearance in Spartanburg, with training sessions on Oct. 25-26 at Spartanburg Community College.

The program is presented with support from AFM Give Me Wings , an Aiken, South Carolina-based charitable organization established to honor the memory of his son Anthony, who tragically lost his life
