SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - South Dakota State and South Dakota Women’s Basketball programs are just about ready to get their seasons started.

The defending Summit League champs, the Jackrabbits look to run it back to the Summit League Tournament. Head coach Aaron Johnston said this year’s team is lacking experience, but he’s confident they can learn quickly.

Meanwhile, South Dakota has 13 new players and is essentially starting over in the second year under head coach Carrie Eighmey.
