NORFOLK, Va. — It was a clash of styles on full display at Norfolk State University Thursday evening.
In their first and only debate appearance together before Election Day, Democrat Abigail Spanberger and Republican Lieutenant Governor Winsome Earle-Sears faced a moderated set of debate questions in front of an intimate crowd in a university auditorium.
Each are hoping to be the first female Governor in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Throughout the hour-long debate, moderators repeatedly asked Earle-Sears to refrain from interrupting and from talking over Spanberger's answers to the debate questions.
"It was unhinged, unprofessional, and uncalled for. Not the Virginia way. Not what we expect from our leaders," House Speaker of Virginia Don Scott said in the media room following the deb
