RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Tonight’s gubernatorial debate in Virginia was marked by intense back-and-forth and contentious exchanges, often requiring moderators to intervene.

The clashes made it difficult for candidates to deeply explore key issues like the economy and healthcare.

Republican nominee Winsome Earle Sears and Democratic candidate Abigail Spanberger squared off at Norfolk State University, hoping to sway undecided voters.
