Stephen Carr insists he is ‘never going to apologise’ for the infamous hand gesture at Villa Park that only elevated him in the eyes of adoring Birmingham City supporters.
The right-back who initially signed for a month but ended up captaining Blues to victory in the Carling Cup final at Wembley holds heroic status at St Andrew’s.
Adding to Carr’s legend is an incident at Villa Park in April 2010 which saw him make a gesture towards the North Stand.
Carr was seething after Blues lost the Second City derby to Aston Villa courtesy of a contentious penalty decision in a season where the two rivals were only separated by three places in the Premier League table.
Going through the incident on the Keep Right On Podcast, on behalf of Casino Review Site, Carr said: “That'
