FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - An hours-long standoff that started Thursday night ended early Friday morning at a house on Fort Wayne’s northwest side.
It all started around 8:00 p.m. when police got a call about “some type of dispute involving neighbors,” according to a news release from the Fort Wayne Police Department.
The release says officers arrived in the 2200 block of Broadmoor Avenue, near Lima and Wallen Roads, and a man involved drove off.
Police say they tried to pull over that man, but he led officers on a short chase before going back inside the home and barricading himself inside.
Officers say they tried to get the man to come out of the home peacefully, but he refused.
Police on scene called in the Emergency Services (SWAT), Crisis Response, and Air Support teams to assist
