SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - In the wake of Eugene City Council pausing the use of Flock license plate-reading cameras , advocates wait for an upcoming October 20th meeting between Springfield City Council members that is expected to put the the use of their cameras back on the discussion table.

"We were pleasantly surprised. It's a great initial step," said "Eyes Off Eugene" organizer, Ky Fireside about Eugene's recent decision. "We would have liked to see a bit more clarity regarding a timeline and what exactly a pause means. But credit where credit is due, this is a great step that they've taken."
