The Philippines and Indonesia have been rocked by a 7.4 magnitude earthquake today - with citizens being told to brace for devastating tsunamis. ‌

The quake first struck off the coast of the Mindanao region in the Philippines, the country's seismology agency has confirmed. ‌

Families have now been warned to 'evacuate immediately' with fears waves could reach up to 3m (10ft) above normal tide levels in parts of the Philippines, and up to 1m higher in areas of Indonesia and Palau as a result of the activity, the Mirror reports. ‌

The latest disaster has come just days after a 6.9 magnitude earthquake shook the Philippines. At least 74 people died and buildings collapsed, with thousands of people displaced from their homes last week.
