SpiceJet has announced the addition of three new aircraft to its operational fleet, marking the start of the airline's major winter expansion. The three new additions include one Airbus A340 wide-body and two Boeing 737s, joining the operations between October 10 and October 11 as part of a major fleet ramp-up to meet the surging air travel demand this holiday season.

The airline said in a press release that a total of 20 dump-leased aircraft will join the fleet between October and November, with four ungrounded aircraft to join by mid-December.
