Bhuj: The Bhuj Sessions Court has issued an arrest warrant against former IPS officer Kuldeep Sharma in connection with a case dating back to 1984. Sharma, who was serving as SP at the time, was found guilty of assaulting Congress leader Abdul Haji Ibrahim.

In February 2025, the court sentenced Kuldeep Sharma and his associate to three months in jail, 41 years after the incident. However, Sharma failed to surrender following the court’s verdict, prompting further judicial action and the issuance of the arrest warrant.

The court had earlier expressed displeasure over Sharma’s non-compliance, emphasizing that the law must take its course regardless of the time elapsed since the incident. DeshGujarat
