The anticipated rain showers this morning are taking their time in Northwest Missouri, but are slowly drifting south. Many will stay dry, and skies will become mostly cloudy later this morning into midday.
Folks around Central Missouri, near where Highway 54 and Highway 65 intersect and east towards Highway 63, can expect scattered showers between 7 AM and noon. Farther west of Highway 65 in West-Central Missouri, a handful of isolated showers are possible during the same period.
The risk for a stray shower wanes farther south near I-44, although a shower or two can't be ruled out in Springfield by midday.
