A 16-year-old boy was shot and killed late Thursday night, Oct. 9, on Warwick Avenue in Rochester’s northeast side, police said.
Officers responded around 11 p.m. to the 100 block of Warwick Avenue for a report of a person shot. They found the teen lying in a driveway between two homes, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital by AMR, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival, police said.
Victim did not live in the neighborhood
According to Rochester police, the teen did not live in the area. Homicide detectives with the Major Crimes Unit are working to determine what led to the shooting and why the boy was at that location.
