GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. —

A woman in Greenville County, South Carolina, has been arrested after she allegedly shot her sibling.

Just before 4 a.m. Friday, deputies with the Greenville County Sheriff's Office responded to a home on East Dorchester Boulevard in Gantt after receiving a 911 call about a shooting.

Deputies said a man was taken to the hospital. He is expected to recover from his injuries.

Following the investigation, 20-year-old Chavia Marvonda Grant was arrested and charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

According to deputies, Grant, who is the sibling of the victim, shot the victim at least once following an altercation between them.

Grant was arrested and booked into the Greenville County Detention Center without bond.
