The soap opera side of the Eagles is always on the offensive side of the ball.

That’s the side of the ball where you have some guys (Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts) talking about having a good, health meeting after a loss to the Denver Broncos and another guy ( A.J. Brown ) saying he doesn’t recall it happening.

That’s the side of the ball where you have a first-year offensive coordinator ( Kevin Patullo ) who the fans want fired yesterday.

That’s the side of the ball that has been criticized for its inconsistent play that has finally caught up to the Eagles, the result being two losses in five days after a 4-0 start and a stretch that saw them lose only once in a calendar year.

Lost sometimes in the offensive soap opera is that the Eagles’ defense has its share of issues, too.
