A series of explosions in Paglabhari village under the Purakalandar police station area of Ayodhya has left six people dead and raised serious concerns about the local administration’s handling and explanation of the incident.
The first blast occurred on Thursday evening in the house of resident Ramkumar, killing five people. However, a second explosion on Friday early morning during debris removal has shattered the administration’s initial theory that a gas cylinder blast caused the tragedy.

During the clearance of debris with the help of a JCB machine, a powerful explosion injured a revenue officer (lekhpal), Akash Singh, who was on duty. Later, the body of Ramkumar’s wife, Vandana, was recovered from the rubble, raising the death toll to six.
