Bradley Cooper is in talks to star in a new prequel to the heist film 'Oceans Eleven,' joining Margot Robbie. The story will be set in 1960s Europe and directed by Lee Isaac Chung, with Carrie Solomon writing the screenplay. This prequel takes place before Steven Soderberghs 2001 'Oceans Eleven,' itself a remake of the 1960 classic starring Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack.

The title for the new film is not yet announced. With sequels like 'Oceans Twelve', 'Oceans Thirteen,' and 'Oceans Eight' already existing, the choice of a Roman numeral remains to be seen. Clooney has mentioned plans for 'Oceans Fourteen' with Damon, Pitt, and Roberts, so this prequel will stand apart in the franchise.

Director Lee Isaac Chung, known for 'Twisters,' replaces Jay Roach, who was originally set to direct.
