COLUMBIA, S.C. — One person is dead after a Thursday evening incident involving three vehicles on Two Notch Road in Columbia.

South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) Master Trooper Brandon Bolt reports that around 7:29 p.m. October 9, three vehicles -- a 2024 Toyota SUV, a 2021 Toyota SUV, and a 2015 Toyota SUV -- all traveling north on Two Notch Road/US-1 struck a pedestrian who was in the roadway near the intersection of Raymond Street.

The pedestrian was declared dead at the scene, no other injuries were reported.

The identity of the pedestrian was not released.

SCHP continues to investigate the incident.
