KILLEEN, Texas — Killeen police apprehended an armed suspect late Thursday night following an hours-long search that began after the man shot at a state trooper during a vehicle chase.
The incident began around 4 p.m. Thursday when police received information on where Jonathan David Burr was last seen. According to Killeen Police Chief Pedro Lopez, Burr was wanted in relation to several criminal activities, including theft, aggravated assault and evading police, over the past several weeks.
When officers approached Burr's location, he drove away, leading to a chase. Burr then shot at a Department of Public Safety trooper from his car, striking the trooper's windshield, before crashing his vehicle in the 1600 block of Cedar Lane. He proceeded to then flee on foot.
Police believed Burr
