A man suffered "life changing injuries" in an incident at a Manchester railway station. Emergency services were called to Deansgate Railway Station in the city centre on Thursday night.
British Transport Police said the casualty was found on tracks and there were no suspicious circumstances.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “At around 11.58pm last night (Thursday October 10), one fire engine from Moss Side Community Fire Station and the Technical Response Unit from Ashton attended an incident at Deansgate Railway Station in Manchester. View 3 Images
“Crews arrived quickly before handing over to North West Ambulance Service who assessed one casualty at the scene. Crews were in attendance for roughly 30 minutes.”
