The red-hot Big Walnut Golden Eagles (6-1, 3-0) host the Westerville North Warriors (2-5, 1-2) in an Ohio Capital Conference matchup in Sunbury on Friday night.
The Golden Eagles enter on a tear, fresh off a 35-20 victory over Worthington Kilbourne in which junior running back Nolan Buirley dominated with 170 rushing yards and four touchdowns. Quarterback Eli Stumpf added balance, throwing for 172 yards and a touchdown. Big Walnut edged host Westerville North in a 32-31 overtime contest last season.
Westerville North will be looking to rebound after a 26-17 loss to Westland last week. The Warriors will rely on standouts Will Logan, Kayden Childress and De’Von Dallas when they face off against the Golden Eagles at Big Walnut High School Stadium.
Opening kickoff is set for 7
