HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) - Evansville Regional Airport is reporting its strongest year of growth since 2015.

Officials made the announcement on social media this morning. They state through September, passenger traffic is up 23% year over year.

A report shows traffic was up almost 26% in July, a little over 24% in August and around 17% for September.

It also indicated the momentum occurred across every one of its airline partners. Officials credit the growth to the support from area residents as well as the airlines who fly out of EVV.
