BEAVERTON Ore. (KPTV) - A family is seeking justice for their loved one after a deadly hit-and-run in Beaverton last week.
According to the Beaverton Police Department, just before 9 p.m. on Saturday, a car traveling south on Scholls Ferry Road near Hall Boulevard struck and killed 67-year-old Emmanuel Del Cid.
The driver fled the scene.
Magaly Smith, a niece of Del Cid, says her uncle was walking from his apartment off Scholls Ferry Road to a market in a plaza across the street when he was hit.
Smith has fond childhood memories of visiting her uncle at his apartment, where she said he often cooked for her and her brother.
