We're in for a pretty pleasant stretch of weather here across Southern Illinois and the surrounding Mid-Mississippi River Valley. We've been monitoring the patterns, and the good news is that dry conditions are expected to stick around through the middle of next week, which is always a welcome sign. However, as we head into tonight, especially over areas down in southern Illinois and southeast Missouri, there's a slight chance we might see just a few stray sprinkles. Nothing significant, mind you, but we’ll keep an eye on it just in case.
The real story development is the temperature trend. We'll be seeing a nice warm-up begin, with temperatures climbing into the upper 70s and low 80s from today through Saturday. This is generally in line with seasonal averages for this time of year, but
