BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A new restaurant has opened in Central.

Papis Central, 14350 Wax Road #13, held its soft opening on Tuesday, Oct. 7.

Owner AJ Ortiz said, "We are partners with Locals Central, which is a bar."

They are now a bar and restaurant in the same building suite, located in the strip with Central Buffet, Ortiz said. Diners will find authentic Mexican dishes that have a flair of Cajun Tex-Mex. • A frozen drink is available at Papis Central, 14350 Wax Road #13.
