Michigan (4-1, 2-0 Big Ten) visits USC on Saturday (4-1, 2-1) in an important midseason game for both teams.
The latest episode of the Wolverine Confidential podcast broke down the matchup.
“The higher scoring this game gets, it certainly favors USC because that’s what they want to do, right?” Aaron McMann said on the podcast. “They’re explosive, they want to outscore you. So it’s going to be up to Michigan’s defense to win this game.
“You’ve got a strength in USC in their passing attack going against a perceived weakness. Michigan’s secondary, they haven’t played particularly well this year.”
Michigan’s defense has been solid this year but the back end has some questions that will need to be answered against USC’s high-powered offense.
